OUR WORK
MEESST
MHD Enhanced Entry System for Space Transportation
MEESST is a concept magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) enhanced entry system for spacecraft operating near planets with atmospheres, offering advanced solutions to various technological challenges during entry, such as:
-
Telecommunication blackout
-
Aerodynamic control at high speeds and high altitudes
-
Heat flux and integral heat load reduction

SUPREME
SUPerconductor-Based Readiness Enhanced Magnetoplasmadynamic Electric Propulsion
SUPREME is an Electric Propulsion system for spacecraft, utilising High-Temperature Superconducting coils to enhance the performance of Applied-Field Magnetoplasmadynamic Thrusters (AF-MPD). SUPREME offers greater efficiency, scalability, and operational flexibility, enabling more advanced and ambitious missions, and cutting costs by billions of dollars.

HTS Harness
High-Temperature Superconductor
Under contract to the European Space Agency, Neutron Star Systems is developing a High-Temperature Superconductor (HTS) based electrical harness for scientific instrumentation. This HTS harness will enable electricity to be delivered to sensitive detectors with zero losses and reduced heat loads, hence improving the operation and efficiency of the instruments. Such a harness will be deployed on future astrophysics missions such as ATHENA or SPICA.
